MailFilter Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus

Historically email protection has been complex, involving capital outlay on hardware and software. Most of all, to maintain protection takes time, technical know-how and valuable resources which can usually be better employed elsewhere.

To use the service, you must have your own domain name and have control of your Domain Name Records. If you use an email service provided by your ISP that does not use your own unique domain name then the MailFilter service is not suitable for you.

MailFilter anti-Spam provides the highest levels of spam detection and almost eliminates false positives.

This approach combined with the ability to set spam thresholds on a per-user or per-domain basis ensures that MailFilter Spam is the most effective and usable technology on the market today.

Anti-Virus

MailFilter Anti-Virus is a fully managed service providing customers with protection from viruses contained inside Internet email. There is no hardware or software, to purchase, maintain or upgrade – just complete protection from email borne threats.

MailFilter Anti-Virus works by scanning inbound and outbound email, ensuring that malicious email is blocked before it reaches corporate networks.

Once a customer subscribes to the service, all their Internet email is routed through BayHosting’s Mail Relays, which scan all messages to detect and block malicious content.

The MailFilter Relays are housed in secure data centres. Each data centre is highly available with multiple Internet connections and high bandwidth, ensuring that the average processing time for an email is just a few seconds.
